1965 - Where are we going?

We're going somewhere, maybe the start of a trip? To where? As usual, we are dressed nicely. Charlie in his cool surfer stripe shirt. I do remember that rainbow striped shirt. I've always liked rainbow colored things. Looks like Charlie and I have things to 'do' in the car. Not sure how Pam's stick horse fits in. Also, I like more than two years older than Charlie. In the front yard of Wilhaggin home.

Here we are back in Aptos, Pam is in the water, the surf looks rather wild. But not as strong as the north shore of Oahu!

1965 - Too cute by half

The kids are trying to have a cute pose here. Results could have been used on a halidya card. Pam, Charlie and Sandy in front of that same doorway. I used to really like those satin hair ribbons, I had them every color of the rainbox. And I used to be able to wear bangs, my hair was thicker...but not too much thicker. Again wearing a sweater and a pleated skit. I think I remember that white skirt.

1965 - On the way to Sunday School!

I think we are on our way to Sunday School in this picture. Pam look like it could be a Purim costume. We are dressed up, as usual, Charlie especially. I think that was one of the first sweater that mom made me. It looked like a bronzey brown but all of the filaments were all different colora, I thought it was quite cool. I seem to remember that skirt, the pleats would never lay right.

1965 - Thanksgiving in the new house

Pam in the family room/dining/kitchen of the Wilhaggin House. Looks like it could be Thanksgiving...might be 1964, just not sure. Looks like the cornucopia on the table. Those colonial style wall candle holders, where are they? I don't think my mom has them up any more.

I didn't get a chance to go inside when I visited in September but a peek in the back window shows that the cabinetry is the same.

1965 - Pam on the trike in front yard

Guess that was a tricycle. The trees are small, there are sidewalks and all of the shrubs are fairly new. The present owners said that the fruitless mulberry were gone by the time they got there in the late 70s. There are those junipers that Pam hated so heartily. Chilly and cloudy

Contrast with the front yard now. Too bad, I did not stand across the street to take a matching shot. The trees in the back are big and visible. Everything a lot more lush and shady.
