My mother framed my great grandmother, Delia Zunder Weil's lace fan. Earlier than 1965. Then, as a companion piece, she framed her lornette (not sure about spelling, decorative glasses) and hankie as a companion piece. They still are in my mother's living room. I have always loved them.

This is cool when you include the picture of Delia in her wedding dress. Mom has both on her wall. Here is the distant relative and this is what she was holding that day. Always liked the combination of pictures. That living room that you posted was planned around the heirlooms.
Mom says-
The frame includes Delia's wedding hankie which was used by Nanny and I and then I put it in the frame because I figured it would get lost
