1963 - My mother on beach with cigarette
Mom on the east coast beach on a beach chair. My sister climbing onto her lap. These days, she would be talking on a cell phone with her hand up like that. But instead she's got sunglasses and a cigarette. My mom smoked until about 1967, she stopped and never smoked again. But, at that time, it was very much acceptable.

Can't remember too much of Mom smoking. I remember it was a big deal that she quit. I never remember the smell either. But I do know that when I could smell (like everyone else) I HATED the smell! Don't like it much now either but don't have to deal with it on a regular basis.
Mom looks so happy and SLIM!
